Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

A PhD allows you to contribute original research in the field of your choice. Your work must meet internationally recognised standards in your chosen field.

Candidates for this degree must have an MSc degree with First Class or Second Class (Division I) Honours, or a bachelor's degree with First Class or Second Class (Division I) Honours or equivalent. You should allow three to four years to complete your PhD.

You will be directed and supported by an appointed supervisor while engaged in your independent research study. The results of the research you carry out over the period of registration will be submitted as a thesis.
