Current research

Educational resource development

Developing teaching materials that provide learning opportunities or alternative practical experiences to regular experimental exercises for students. These materials test comprehension and the analysis of data that cannot readily be obtained in standard introductory laboratory settings. Current work also includes the development of a special topic suitable for inclusion in the senior secondary school Physics syllabus on thoroughbred horseracing.

Statistical surveys and analyses

Undertake surveys of Physics enrolments
in Australasian universities to provide statistics,
analyse trends and develop reports suitable
for manpower considerations bearing on national
science and technology directions in Australia
and New Zealand.
